What is YoCutie?
YoCutie is a 100% free dating application. Our users are predominantly singles looking for a relationship, but YoCutie also offers its users a convenient and fun chatting experience, giving you the opportunity to meet new people you find interesting. Many cool things are happening on the app right now. We’ve recently introduced the brand-new Stories feature where users can add their own Stories as well as view Stories from people they want to know more about. With a design to match, YoCutie is the fun way of finding love 🙂 Increase your chances of a match by telling your Story today! You’ll find Stories in the menu item next to Browse 🙂
Unlimited video uploads, verified profiles and more choices in matching?
Indeed! With YoCutie, you can upload as many videos on your profile as you’d like. This is a great way for others to get to know you a bit better and can really help your profile stand out. And don’t worry, every video has to be approved by our admin team before it is shown to others.
We also offer users the option to verify their profile. Every verification picture is reviewed and verified manually by our admin team, so that you can be sure that the user you’re speaking to is in fact a real person.
In addition to this, we have added a new feature, to make it easier for you to find The One. With the “Matching age” feature, members of YoCutie can decide that their profile should only be shown to users that match the age they are looking for in a partner. This way, when someone yo’s you, there is a bigger chance that they are of interest to you. You will find the Matching age feature in Settings->Privacy under My profile.
How does it work?
Simply go to Browse tab, to start swiping through profiles; swiping left will show you the next person and swiping right, the previous. To express your interest in someone, simply tap the Yo button on that person’s profile and they will be notified that you have “yo’ed” (liked) them. When they give you a Yo back, a match is automatically created between the two of you and you can start chatting 🙂
How can I help you make the app even better?
The best way to help us is to help us expand our user base as much as possible, for instance by recommending the app to friends. Secondly, if you enjoy the app, we would really appreciate a good rating on the Google Play Store / App Store; the more users we have, the more people each individual will see in their area. That is to say, increasing the number of users means improving everyone’s chances of finding their dream Cutie 🙂
In addition, we always welcome feedback from our users. If you have a cool idea for a new feature, please let us know 🙂 Do let us know what you like about the app and what could be improved! We really appreciate our users and want to give them the best app possible 🙂
How can I contact you?
Our support email address is email@example.com, and we generally get back to you very quickly. You can also contact support directly via Settings->Support or via the support chat.
I don’t receive messages and notifications when I am not using the app?
In this case, we recommend that you open the general settings on your phone and find the notifications settings there; depending on your device, it will most likely be called something like “Apps & Notifications”. Here, you will see “Notifications management” or similar. Go to Notifications management and find the YoCutie app. Make sure all permissions are given, such as allowing messages on lock screen and in the status bar. Now you should be able to see all of your messages even when not using the app 🙂 If this still does not work, please contact support at firstname.lastname@example.org or via the support chat in the app itself.
Sign-up and Login
How can I sign up and log in?
We have made creating a profile simple and fun. You can sign up using Facebook, Gmail or any other email.
What if I lost my password?
You can reset your password by providing the email address you used to create the account. Just tap “Log in with email”-button and hit “Forgot your password?” A reset link will be sent to your email. If you signed up via the Facebook- or Gmail button, your password is not handled by us and we cannot reset it for you. If, however, you are having trouble logging into YoCutie via Facebook or Gmail, please check that you’re still logged into the Gmail or Facebook account that you used to sign up with initially, on your device.
How old do I need to be to use YoCutie?
The app has a minimum age of 18 and any person found to be under 18 years of age is immediately removed from the app!
I can’t login!
Please contact our support at email@example.com, or try resetting the password on your account.
I have not received any verification e-mail!
Please check your spam folder. If not found there, please try creating a new profile, or contact our support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How to swipe?
Simply go to the Browse tab, to start swiping through profiles; swiping left will show you the next person and swiping right, the previous.
How to give a Yo?
To express your interest in someone, simply tap the Yo button on that person’s profile and they will be notified that you have “yo’ed” (liked) them. When they give you a Yo back, a match is automatically created between the two of you and you can start chatting. Please note that you can now also yo, or yo someone back, directly via Stories.
How to remove a Yo?
From the Cuties tab, navigate to “Given Yo’s” and select the person you wish to remove your Yo from. On the individual Cuties page of this user, tap the three-dots-button in the top right corner where you will find an option to delete your Yo. If you already have a match with this user, please navigate to Matches tab instead of “Given Yo’s”. Should you regret having deleted a Yo, you can yo the person again from the Browse tab. To ensure that everyone has a good experience using the app, you can only yo the same person 2 times within a given time frame.
How to change my search filter settings?
The distance and age range of people you wish to see can be customized by tapping the magnifying glass in the top, right corner from the Browse tab. Here, you can also set other preferences, such as “smoking/no smoking” or that you wish only to see people that have been using the app within the last 10 days (toggle Active on/off)
What are verified users?
YoCutie gives users the option to verify their account where people are requested to upload a picture of themselves holding a piece of paper that says “YoCutie”. Once this is done and approved by our administrators, the profile will be shown to others as Verified. To get started, tap the “Start” button next to the “Account verification” text in your profile. Your verification picture won’t be shown to other users.
How to see if somebody is active?
There is a little green icon next to the users who have been using the app recently. There is a setting in the search filter to view only active profiles; go to Browse tab and tap magnifying glass in the top, right corner. In search filter, expand the More button and toggle switch next to “Active users”.
Where to see my Cuties (Yo's and matches)?
Navigate to the ‘Cuties’ tab where you will see “Matches”, “Given Yo’s” and “Received Yo’s”.
Where to see who has given me a Yo?
Navigate to the ‘Cuties’ tab where you will see “Matches”, “Given Yo’s” and “Received Yo’s”. Yo’s given to you are listed under “Received Yo’s”. If you give the person a Yo back, this user will be listed under Matches.
How do I block someone?
There is a block button at the bottom of each profile.
How do I report a profile?
On the bottom of every profile there is a ‘Report’ button. If you choose to report someone, please select the option that best fits the nature of the report you wish to make. Alternatively, please use the category “Other”, to provide us with some brief feedback. Let us know if someone has asked you for money, or if they were rude or if their picture is inappropriate.
Can I search for a specific user?
If you have given a ‘Yo’ to a certain user, you will be able to find them in the Cuties tab. Or if the user is in your area and your search preferences match, you will be able to find that specific user in the Browse tab.
I don’t see any profiles!
Please check your distance and age settings in search filter (magnifying glass in the top, right corner of Browse). If you’re still unable to see anyone, please contact our support via the support chat in the app.
I don’t get any Yo’s back!
Make your profile stand out by adding some cool pictures of yourself, and describe yourself and your interests via the fields on your profile, such as About me and Movies. And why not add a Story via the brand-new Stories feature? A Story could feature a visit to a restaurant or a favorite pastime, such as going to the movies or gardening, and adding a Story is a great way of introducing yourself to others. Furthermore, people will be able to yo you directly from your Story :)
Tell me about the Stories feature!
The brand-new Stories feature is a great way to connect with other users, and you can yo, chat and create matches directly from Stories. The Stories experience is found in the main menu item next to Browse. There are 2 types of Stories, namely Automatically created Stories and manually added Stories. When you make changes to your profile, such as adding a picture or updating the Movies field, the app will automatically build a cool Story based on that change. To manually add a Story, please tap the file icon button in the top, right corner of the Stories experience where you will have the option to create a Story that is text only, picture only, or one that contains both text and picture.
The Yo and Matches tabs is where we you show you Stories specifically from the people you have already connected with on the app. In the Yo tab, you will find Stories featuring people who have yo'ed you and people whom you have yo'ed. Once a match has been created, Stories from your match will appear in the Matches tab where you will find a chat button next to their Stories. The All tab includes Stories from your Yo's, matches as well as Stories from people whom you have yet to connect with on the app. To make the feature even more enjoyable, you have the option to like a Story via the “heart” button underneath each Story 🙂
What is the Story Likes list and how does it work?
The Story Likes list is where we show you the list of people who have liked your Story. Each individual Story will have its own Likes list as soon as it receives the first Like. Only you can see who liked your Story, but the number of Likes on a given Story will be visible to all users. Once your Story gets its first Like, a “View” button will appear next to it. You can also view the Story Likes list by tapping the 3-dots icon next to your Story and then tapping “Story Likes”. In addition, you will find the View button in notifications about Likes received.
Liking someone’s Story is a fun and informal way of introducing yourself to others by showing them that you take an interest in them. Thus, the Likes list adds yet another dimension to the app where liking someone’s Story can be the start of something great 🙂
How do I delete a Story or opt out of Automatic Stories Creation?
We have designed the Stories experience so that when you make a change to your profile, such as adding a photo or adding info in the About me field, the app will automatically build a Story based on that change (We will, however, never build Stories from sensitive information such as your birthday!). Should you wish to delete a Story, this is easily done via the 3-dots button next to any of your Stories in the Me tab. Should you wish to opt out of Automatic Stories Creation altogether, this is done via going to your profile->Settings->Privacy and toggling off “Create Stories automatically”.
How do I report a Story?
Next to any Story that contains custom user input, there will be a 3-dots button from which you can report a Story. The categories provided depend slightly on what type of Story it is, e.g., does it contain a picture or a video, or simply plain text, but if you can't find a category that accurately describes the report you wish to make, please use the category “Other”.
How to edit my profile information?
In the upper, left corner, tap on your profile picture, you will see all the options to edit your profile.
How to set my gender and who I’m looking to meet?
Please go to your profile via the icon in the upper left corner of Browse tab. Here you will be able to set your gender and change preferences in terms of who you’re looking to meet (a man, a woman, or both).
How to upload a picture?
Please go to your profile via the icon in the upper left corner of the Browse tab and switch to the second tab in My profile. Now, tap the + icon and you can upload pictures from your device or snap pictures instantly. Do keep in mind that pictures will only be shown to other users if, and when, they are approved by our administrators.
How to delete a picture?
Please go to your profile via the icon in the upper left corner of the Browse tab and switch to the second tab in My profile. Tap on any picture you want to delete and tap Delete.
How to make a picture the main one?
In ‘My profile’, in the pictures tab, tap on any picture you want to make your main picture and select the option “Make main”.
How to upload a video?
It’s easy, you just go to your profile, navigate to the Video tab (3rd tab in My profile), and hit the “+” button, and start recording your new video. We currently have a minimum duration of 3 seconds and a maximum of 15 seconds
How to delete a video?
In ‘My profile,’ go to video icon/tab, tap on any video that you want to delete and select that option.
I can’t upload a picture!
Make sure you have given the app permission to access your camera and/or storage, then try quitting and relaunching the app, or contact us at email@example.com

Why have you declined my picture or video?
We generally approve every picture or a video of a real user, presenting themselves. Only in a few circumstances would we decline a photo or a video. We would decline a picture or video if it contains sexually explicit content and/or nudes, if it is somehow offensive or if the picture does not depict an actual person, but is of a car or a pet or similar. Lastly, we have a rule that it needs to be obvious who in the picture is the user of the app; therefore, group photos might be declined.
How to chat?
To express your interest in someone, simply tap the Yo button on that person’s profile and they will be notified that you have “yo’ed” (liked) them. When they give you a Yo back, a match is automatically created between the two of you and you can start chatting. Once a match has been created between you and somebody else, the chat can be accessed from different parts of the app. If you have already started a chat with your match, you can find it in the Chats tab. You can also go to the Cuties tab and tap the chat bubble next to your match. In addition, if you are on the profile page of your match, you will also find a chat button there. Finally, with the release of the Stories feature, you can also chat directly from the Matches tab of Stories 🙂
How can I delete a chat message?
Go to the chat in question via Chats tab, and choose the specific chat in which you want to delete a message. Tap on any message in the chat (on Android, a long-press may be needed), and tap Delete in the subsequent dialogue. Should you wish to delete the entire chat, in the top right corner you have the three-dots button. Select it and choose Delete chat. Do keep in mind that when deleting the entire chat, it will not be deleted on the recipient’s side. Additionally, you have the option to block the user you're chatting with, in which case the chat will also not show. You do this by going to the other user's profile, scrolling down and tapping the "Block" button. However, please note that by using the block function, the user will no longer appear in your Matches either.
Why is the chat locked?
A chat can be locked for several different reasons. It could be that the person you're chatting to has deleted their account or removed the Yo that they had previously given you. Additionally, the other user may have been locked by admin, for instance because the user has been discovered to be a scammer. If a chat has been locked, a lock symbol will show in the message field, next to an explanatory text. Below the last chat message, there will be a message stating whether the user deleted their account, removed their Yo or has been locked.
How to change privacy settings?
Any personal settings can be set in ‘My profile’ which can accessed via the icon found in the top, left corner of most pages. While in your profile, you will see the settings icon in the top right corner where, among other things, you will find the Privacy setting. In Privacy, you can choose to allow/disallow Push notifications and whether you want the app to show the distance between you and other users, as well as disable/enable Automatic Stories Creation. In the top right corner of the Browse tab, you can use the search filter to set the distance and age range of the profiles that you want to have presented to you.
How to delete my account?
Go to ‘My profile’ where you will find the settings in the top right corner. There is a "Delete Account" option offered in settings. You can also send an email to our support team and ask us to delete your profile. Many of our users have done that after they found a partner through our app 🙂
How to log out?
Go to ‘My profile’ and find the Settings button in the top, right corner. In Settings, there is a ‘Log out’ option.
How to change my password?
Go to ‘My profile’ and find the Settings button in the top, right corner. There is a ‘Change password’ option in Settings. Please note that it is not possible to change your password this way if you signed up via Google or Facebook.
